Printing Your Files

in the printer, the printer stops printing until you load the specified 
paper size. The message

LOAD UPPER TRAY PAPER 

SIZE

displays on the control panel. 

SIZE is the paper size. 

Using VMS Commands

If you are connected to the printer through a DECnet network, you 
can use the VMS PRINT command parameter SHEET_SIZE to select 
paper size.

The following is the PRINT command for paper size selection:

$ PRINT/PARAM=(SHEET_SIZE=

size) filename

Your choices for 

size are letter, legal, a4, quarto, commercial, 

foolscap, folio, and legalsmall. (See the 

VMS Interface for QMS Print-

ers manual for complete information about using PRINT parameters.) 
If you use a value for 

size that is not loaded in the printer, but is a size 

for which the printer is configured, the printer stops printing until you 
load the specified paper size. If you use SHEET_SIZE and 
INPUT_Input bin, the paper size specified by SHEET_SIZE must 
match the paper loaded in INPUT_Input bin. If it does not, the printer 
stops printing, displays an error message, and waits for the correct 
paper size to be loaded in the specified paper input bin.

Manual Feed

You must use the manual feed slot to print on the following. (For more 
information on special media, see appendix B, "Technical Specifica-
tions.")
