■ MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING ■

After changing the toner cartridge for the Fileprint 450, you must
clean the fixing rollers of the Fileprint 450.
The following describes the cleaning procedure for the fixing roll-
ers of the Fileprint 450. For details on how to handle the Fileprint
450, refer to the Fileprint 450 Instruction Manual.

1. Select the Cleaning mode in the user mode settings.

The paper size currently selected will be displayed on the Print/
Error display.

2. Open the pickup tray of the Fileprint 450 and set a sheet of

paper of the selected size on it.

3. Press the Start key. The cleaning paper will be printed out and

[CL] will be displayed on the printing count indicator.

To reset the Cleaning mode midway, press the Clear
key before pressing the Start key. Once the cleaning
paper is printed out, you cannot reset the Cleaning
mode midway; therefore, you must go through the en-
tire cleaning procedure for the fixing rollers till the end.

4. Switch the setting on the Fileprint 450 to the face-up paper

delivery.

5. Set the cleaning paper on the pickup tray facing the printed

side down and pointing the arrow inward.

6. Press the Start key to start cleaning the fixing rollers.

It takes about 2 minutes to complete cleaning the fix-
ing rollers. Do not touch the scanner because no op-
eration can be carried out during the cleaning.

7. When the cleaning is completed, the Print/Error display will

return to normal.
