BiGuard 30 is a rack-mountable security device perfectly designed for small and medium sized businesses 
(SMB) requiring application-based network solutions with low-capital investment to communicate with branch 
offices, remote dial-up and mobile workers. The Dual-WAN port design provides load balancing and auto  
fail-over  for  high  availability  of  Internet  business  applications,  optimized  bandwidth  sharing,  and 
network redundancy in case one or more connections fail. The complete firewall features are built in to protect 
your network from intruders and Internet attacks. Robust VPN functions support office users to create remote 
access  of  multiple  site-to-site  encrypted  private  connections  over  the  public  Internet.  With  the  growing 
demand  for  Voice  over  IP  and  multimedia  applications  such  as  video  broadcasting  from  SMB  users,  the 
device features SIP pass-through, IGMP Snooping and IGMP Proxy to facilitate the needs. The Quality of 
Service feature ensures a smooth net connection for inbound and outbound data with minimal traffic congestion.

Increased Bandwidth, Scalability and Resilience 
Dual WAN ports integrated into the BiGuard 30 for two broadband lines ensure optimal bandwidth sharing for 
multiple PCs in your office, or provide network redundancy in case one connection should fail. The load 
balancing feature is designed to provide the ability to balance the workload by distributing outgoing traffic 
across the two connections, and meet growing business needs requiring more bandwidth, network scalability 
and resilience for mission-critical or Internet-business applications. The auto fail-over feature can be configured 
for a second connection to assure redundant connectivity when the primary line fails. 
 
Virtual Private Network Support 
BiGuard  30  supports  comprehensive  and  robust  IPSec  &  PPTP  VPN  protocols  for  business  users  to 
establish private encrypted tunnels over the public Internet to ensure that data is transmitted securely among 
multiple sites, such as branch office or remote dial-up. The VPN feature supports up to 30 simultaneous 
IPSec VPN connections with throughput up to 30 Mbps+, and 4 simultaneous PPTP VPN connections with 
throughput up to 10 Mbps. 
 
Rich Firewall Security to Protect Your Network 
BiGuard 30 is an intelligent broadband sharing gateway with integrated firewall protection, while simultaneously 
offering features such as Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Denial of Service (DoS) prevention and filtering. 
Built with Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), the router enables users to determine whether or not a given data 
packet is allowed to pass through the firewall to the private LAN. The SPI feature protects against hackers’ 
attacks  from  Denial  of  Service  to  allow  private  LAN  connected  to  the  Internet.  Furthermore,  the  firewall 
function provides e-mail alert service to notify you whenever attacks occur. 
 
Traffic Prioritization and Bandwidth Management 
The  Quality  of  Service  (QoS)  feature  helps  users  to  manage  the  bandwidth  and  prioritize  data  transfer 
effectively.  It  gives  one  full  control  over  the  traffic  of  any  type  of  data,  ensuring  important  data  and 
bandwidth-consuming applications such as video conferencing, customer information or FTP sharing,  
can move through the router at instantaneous speed, even when under heavy tasking.  
The speed for inbound and outbound data passed through the router can be  
controlled to ensure that users do not saturate the bandwidth with their  
browsing activities.
