The Main menu appears when you click the AOLTV logo
in the upper left corner of your screen or when you
press MENU on the remote or keyboard. You don’t
have to be signed on to see the Main menu. If what you
want to do requires signing on, clicking that choice
directs you to sign on automatically.
From the Main menu, you can use the functions of the
AOLTV service. E-mail, Buddy List, chat, pictures, and
the World Wide Web are just a click or two away. Here
are all the services you can use:
Guide: A complete program guide lists all of the pro-
grams you can view. Details are on page 25.
AOLTV Channels: Organizes TV-related information
and interactive content into 11 broad categories includ-
ing News, Networks, Sports, and Movies so you can find
relevant, interesting stories faster.
Go To: Type a keyword or Web page address and go
straight to it, or search for a site you’re interested in.
Mail: Write e-mail to your friends, and read messages
they send you.
Buddy List: Shows you a list of friends who are
currently online and allows you to send them Instant
Messages as described below.
Instant Message: The Instant Message feature lets you
have one-on-one, real time, private chats with other AOL
members or non-AOL members using the AOL Instant
Messenger
service.
Pictures: View online pictures from the film you devel-
oped, or pictures friends or family have sent you. Film
must be developed by a participating photo developer.
Favorites: Save favorite TV channels and Web sites and
return to places you’d like to visit again.
Chat: Start or join a chat group online  and talk in real
time to other AOL members. When you’re watching TV,
you can automatically join a chat related to the program
or topic you’re watching. You can also participate in
AOL’s other chat rooms where members are discussing
issues of interest to you. AOLTV chat rooms are gener-
ally not affiliated with TV programming.
Help & Setup: Learn how AOLTV service areas work
and what AOLTV features can do for you. You can also
change billing information, preferences, and Parental
Control settings.
Sign On/Sign Off: Depending on whether you’re cur-
rently online, you can sign on or sign off.

EYWORDS
A keyword is a word or phrase that identifies an area of the
AOLTV service. Keywords make it possible for you to jump
around quickly online, without having to remember exactly
how you got to a certain area. Some useful keywords are
noted in this User Manual, and more appear in online Help &
Setup.
Using a keyword is simple. Press the Go button on the wire-
less keyboard. Then, type the word in the text box that
appears and click Go. To look through a complete list of
AOLTV keywords, go to Keyword: Keyword.
NOTE: Some keywords on the AOL service might not be
available on the AOLTV service.
