Insert the cassette.

Press TIMER.
The VCR turns off automatically, and enters the
timer recording standby mode. The 

 indicator

appears in the display window.
When no cassette is inserted, the 

 indicator

flashes and a beep sounds.

When the input signal from the EXT TIMER terminal
becomes low, recording starts and the EXT indicator
appears in the display window.
When the input signal from the EXT TIMER terminal
becomes high, recording stops and the VCR enters the
timer recording standby mode.

If you enter dates for holidays, the VCR will assume
that these dates are Sundays and will record at the
same time you set for Sundays.

Press MENU and MENU V until “6” of the MAIN
MENU flashes on the monitor screen.

Press MENU B.
The HOLIDAY SET menu appears.

Set the month of the holiday you want by pressing
MENU + or – and press MENU B.

Set the day of the holiday by pressing MENU + or
–.

To set other holidays, press MENU V to move to
the next row and repeat steps 2 and 3.

Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.

When more than one timer setting is made at the same time,
the setting with the earliest START time has priority.
