Symptom
Cause/Solution
• The battery is weak (the 
 indicator appears on the
LCD screen).
b Charge the battery. (page 10)
• The AC power adaptor/charger is not connected
securely.
b Connect it to the battery terminal of your camera and
a wall outlet (mains) firmly. (page 57)
• The built-in micro computer does not work properly.
b Disconnect any power sources and reconnect it after
one minute. Then turn the power on by sliding the
POWER switch to the right.
• The MODE selector is not set to MOVIE or STILL.
b Set it to MOVIE or STILL. (pages 16, 17)
• Memories are full.
b Delete certain images you do not want to keep, and
then start recording. (page 48)
• No “Memory Stick” has been inserted into your camera.
b Insert “Memory Stick”. (page 13)
• The write protect tab on the “Memory Stick” is set to
LOCK.
b Set it to recording position.
• The battery is weak (the

• Your camera is not in macro recording mode if you
shoot a subject that is about 3 1/4 to 19 3/4 inches (8 to
50 cm) away from the lens.

that uses strong magnets.
