If you have trouble with your camera, try 
the following solutions.

Check the items on pages 81 to 88.

Press the RESET button located inside 
the battery/“Memory Stick” cover, then 
turn on the power again. (This will clear 
the date and time settings, etc.)

Consult your Sony dealer or local 
authorized Sony service facility.

• The camera is turned on.
• The connection is not correct.

p Turn the power off (page 12).
p Check the connection (page 8).

• The battery pack is not properly installed.

p Install the battery pack while pushing the battery eject lever 

down using the front edge of the battery pack (page 8).

• The battery pack is not properly installed.
• The battery pack malfunctions.

p Properly install the battery pack (page 8).
p Consult your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service 

facility.

• The AC power adaptor is disconnected.
• The battery pack is not properly installed.
• The charging is complete.

p Properly connect the AC power adaptor (page 8).
p Properly install the battery pack (page 8).

• You have used the camera for a long time in an 

extremely hot or an extremely cold location. 

• The battery pack is dead (page 102). 
• The battery pack is discharged.
• A mismatch has occurred in the remaining 

battery time information.

p Replace the battery pack with a new one.
p Replace the battery pack with a charged one (page 8).
p Fully charge the battery pack (page 8).
