The COOLPIX S4 features 16 specially programmed modes
to automatically handle focus, exposure, white balance and other adjust-
ments, that help you take great pictures at the press of a button. A great new function to be used in the Portrait Mode is Face Priority AF which
automatically fi nds the subject’s face and focuses on it. 4 of the 16 scene modes come with Scene Assist which offer a selection of easy framing
assist options to help you compose your pictures with the assistance of framing guides displayed in the monitor.
Here is how it works:

Useful automatic features do all the thinking for you
Panorama Assist
Allows you to take several side-by-side images, all at the same
exposure and white balance setting, then combine them later using the “Panorama

” photo editing software (supplied) to create spectacular wide-vista photos.
Face Priority AF
All New Face Priority AF (in Portrait Scene) mode will automatically
fi nd the subject’s face and focus on that. This ensures a great portrait every time.
