Recording
Applicable modes:
Taking Pictures with the Self-Timer
Note
•
When you press the shutter button once fully, the subject is automatically focused just before
recording. In dark places, the Self-timer indicator will blink and then may turn on brightly
operating as an AF Assist Lamp to allow the camera to focus on the subject.
•
We recommend using a tripod when recording with the Self-timer.
•
Depending on the recording conditions, the recording interval may become more than
2 seconds when [10S / 3PICTURES] is selected.
•
It is not possible to set [10S / 3PICTURES] in the following cases.
–
In Intelligent Auto Mode
–
When using Auto Bracket
–
When using White Balance Bracket
–
In [PANORAMA ASSIST], [FLASH BURST] and [PHOTO FRAME] in Scene Mode
–
During the Burst Mode
•
Setting of the self-timer cannot be performed in following conditions.
–
In [3D PHOTO MODE] in Scene Mode

When recording motion pictures

press [MENU/SET].

When using a tripod etc., this setting is a convenient way to
avoid the jitter caused by pressing the shutter button.
[10SEC.]
Picture is taken 10 seconds after shutter is pressed.
[10S / 3PICTURES]
After 10 seconds the camera takes 3 pictures at about
2 second intervals after shutter is pressed.

The Self-timer indicator A blinks and the shutter is
activated after 10 seconds (or 2 seconds).
