You can make a title on each disc. As the 
default setting, the date when the disc was 
first used is added as a disc title.
Enter the disc title by following step 2 to 5 
in “To change the disc title” of the “Making 
the disc compatible with playback on DVD 
devices or DVD drives (Finalizing)
” (p.55).
To cancel editing the title, touch [CANCEL].
When the “Memory Stick Duo” is formatted, 
all the data will be deleted.

Format the “Memory Stick Duo” by 
touching [YES] 
t [YES].

Touch 
 when [Completed.] appears.
• Even still images protected with another 
equipment against accidental deletion are deleted.
• Do not attempt the following operations when 
[Executing...] is on the screen.
– Operate the POWER switch or buttons
– Remove the “Memory Stick Duo”
The default settings are marked with B.

You can select an image quality of the movie 
from three levels.
HQ ( HQ )
Record in high quality mode 
(approx. recordable time is up to 20 min).
B
SP ( SP )
Records in standard quality mode 
(approx. recordable time is up to 30 min).
LP ( LP )
Increases the recording time (Long Play) 
(approx. recordable time is up to 60 min).
• The time in parenthesis indicates the 
approximate recordable time when 
recording only a movie on a single-sided 
disc. When recording on a double-sided 
disc, this value is applied for both sides. 
 
• Your camcorder has a VBR encoding 
system (p.15) so when you record an 
object that moves fast, the time available 
for recording may shorten.

• If you record in the LP mode, the quality of scenes 
may be degraded, or scenes with quick 
movements may appear with a block noise when 
you play back the disc.
