Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) Rules
Part 15
This equipment was tested and found to comply with
the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part
15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a
commercial environment.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate
radio frequency energy; and if not installed and used
according to the instructions, can cause harmful
interference to radio communications.
Operation of this equipment in a residential area is
likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the
user is required to correct the interference at his or
her own expense.
Part 68
This equipment complies with Part 68 of FCC rules. A
label contains, among other information, the FCC
registration number and ringer equivalence number
(REN). If requested, this information must be provided
to the telephone company.
The D9412GV3 and D7412GV3 Control Panels are
registered for connection to the public telephone
network using an RJ38X or RJ31X jack.
The REN is used to determine the number of devices
that can be connected to the telephone line.
Excessive RENs on the telephone line may result in
the devices not ringing in response to an incoming
call. In most, but not all areas, the sum of the RENs
should not exceed five. To be certain of the number of
devices that may be connected to the line, as
determined by the RENs, contact the telephone
company to determine the maximum REN for the
calling area.
If you experience trouble with the control panel,
please contact Bosch Security Systems Customer
Service for repair and warranty information. If the
trouble is causing harm to the telephone network, the
telephone company might request that the equipment
be removed from the network until the problem is
resolved. User repairs must not be made, and doing
so will void the user’s warranty.
If the D9412GV3 or D7412GV3 Control Panel causes
harm to the telephone network, the telephone
company attempts to notify you in advance. If
advance notice is not practical, the telephone
company notifies you as soon as possible. Also, you
will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the
FCC if you believe it is necessary.
