Connect a J1800 Series

sensor head here.

Press the

BACKLIGHT

button to light

the display. (Use

the BACKLIGHT

INTENSITY

control, on the

right side of the

J17, to adjust

the backlight.)

Press HOLD to

keep the current

measurement

reading on the

display. This

stops measureĆ

ment updating

until you press

HOLD again.

Press COLOR

to cycle among

white, red,

yellow, green,

and blue

correction

factors to

maximize

accuracy for

narrowĆband

light sources,

such as LEDs.

When using the J1820 Chromaticity head, press

ALT DISP to cycle among chromaticity

coordinates, luminance, and raw XYZ tristimulus

values.

The POWER

switch turns the

J17 on or off. The

J17 performs a

brief selfĆtest at

powerĆon.

Press the

RANGING button

to switch from

autoranging to

manual ranging,

and to step

through the

manual ranges.

(This feature

cannot be used

with the J1820.)

alternate units, if

any, for displayed
