LAMP/TEMP/FILTER Indicators
Managing the indicated problems 
If a problem should occur inside the projector, the lamp indicators <LAMP1>/<LAMP2>, the temperature indicator 
<TEMP>, and the filter indicator <FILTER> will inform you. 
Manage the indicated problems as follow.

Before you take a remedial measure, follow the procedure of switching the power off indicated in “Powering off 
the projector” (
 page 35).
 
z
Check the power status with the power indicator <STANDBY (RED)/ON (GREEN)> (
 page 33).

Indicates the time to 
replace the lamp unit. 
The lamp unit is not 
installed. 
A problem is detected in the lamp or the power 
supply for the lamp.

Is [REPLACE 
LAMP] displayed 
when you turned on 
the power?

Is the lamp unit 
installed? 
 
z
Did you turn on 
the power again 
immediately after 
turning it off? 
 
z
Some error has 
arisen in the lamp 
circuit. Check for 
fluctuation (or 
drop) in the source 
voltage.
Remedial 
measure
 
z
This indicator lights 
up when the lamp 
unit usage has 
reached 1 800 
hours (when [LAMP 
POWER] is set to 
[HIGH]). 
 
z
Replace the lamp 
unit. 
 
z
Install the lamp unit. 
 
z
If the indicator is 
still blinking in red 
despite having 
installed a lamp unit, 
consult your dealer. 
 
z
Wait until the lamp 
has cooled off 
before turning on 
the power. 
 
z
Set the <MAIN 
POWER> switch to 
<OFF> (
 page 35), 
and consult your 
dealer.

If the lamp indicators <LAMP1>/<LAMP2> are still lighting or blinking after taking the preceding measures, ask 
your dealer to repair the unit.
