Sounding the Metronome
 
The CD-2i has built-in metronome—a convenient feature for practicing an instrument.

Press the [
](Metronome) button to turn the metronome on.
 
The setting will turn on/off each time you press the
[
] (Metronome) button.
 
* Whenever the unit has remained inactive for a predetermined amount of time, it will go back to 
displaying the Source (Sound Source) screen.

If the metronome is on, the [
](Metronome) button will light. At the same time, the 
metronome’s indicator will start blinking on the beat.
When you press the [
](Metronome) button once again, the metronome will turn off 
(unlit).

Use the [
] buttons to choose “Sound.”
Use the [+] [-] buttons to select the desired metronome 
sound.

Specify the tempo of the metronome
 
•Use the [+] [-] buttons to change the tempo value.
•Specify the desired tempo by tapping it out using
the [ENTER] button.

Silent
There will be no sound; the metronome indicator will blink to mark the 
beats.
Bell (factory setting)
A bell will mark the beats.
Click
An electronic sound will mark the beats.
Voice
A human voice (English) will count the beats
 
Value
Explanation
 
=20–120 (factory setting)–250
Specifies the number of quarter-notes in one minute.
Decreasing this value will make the tempo slower. Increasing 
this value will make the tempo faster.
Metronome indicator (blinking)
Red: strong beats
Green: weak beats
