If you leave the unit after the tape has been wound or
rewound, the batteries will be consumed rapidly. Be
sure to press x STOP.

• Do not open the cassette holder while the tape is

running.

To select the tape direction (FX467 only)
Switch DIR to select the desired direction.

1 If the HOLD function is turned on, slide the

HOLD switch in the opposite direction of
the arrow to unlock the controls.
Make sure that the tape has stopped
completely.

2 Press TV, FM or AM to select the desired

band.

3 Press TUNING +/– to tune in to the

desired station.
If you keep pressing TUNING+/– for a few
seconds, the Walkman will start tuning to
the stations automatically.

To turn off the radio
Press OFF.

To improve broadcast reception C
•For TV/FM: Extend the headphones/earphones

cord (antenna) or adjust DX•LOCAL.

•For AM: Reorient the unit itself.

You can store radio stations in the unit’s memory.
You can preset up to 35 stations (7 for TV, 21 for FM
and 7 for AM ).
First preset the stations received with automatic
scanning. Then tune in the stations that are not
received automatically and preset them manually.

1 Press TV, FM or AM to turn on the radio

and select the desired band.

2 Press ENTER for more than 3 seconds.

Preset number 1 will flash in the display
and the Walkman starts scanning the
stations from the lower frequencies and
stops for about 3 seconds when a station is
received.

3 If you wish to preset the received station,

press ENTER while the preset number is
flashing.
The received station is preset on preset
number 1 and the unit starts scanning for
the next receivable station.

4 Repeat Step 3 until all receivable stations

are preset.

Press OFF. The radio is turned off at the same time.

Note
• If stations are already stored, the newly preset

stations replace the old ones when the above
procedure is completed.

1 Press TV, FM or AM to turn on the radio

and select the desired band.

2 Press ENTER.

The frequency digits and a preset number
flash in the display.

3 While the frequency digits and the preset

number are flashing, tune in to a station
you wish to store using TUNING+/–, and
select a preset number using PRESET+/–.

4 While the frequency digits and the preset

number are flashing, press ENTER.

Notes
• If you cannot complete step 3 or 4 while the

indications are flashing, repeat from step 2.

• If a station is already stored, the new station replaces

the old one.

1 Press TV, FM or AM to turn on the radio

and select the desired band.

2 Press PRESET+/–.

Set the HOLD switch in the direction of the G mark
to lock the controls.
The hold function only locks the radio operation
buttons and MEGA BASS.

Press MEGA BASS.
“MEGA BASS” appears in the display.

Notes
• If the sound is distorted when MEGA BASS is

activated, turn down the volume of the main unit or
select normal mode.

• Bass emphasis may not show great effect if the

volume is turned up too high.

Set AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) to
LIMIT. The maximum volume is kept to down to
protect your ears, even if you turn the volume up.

1 Si la función HOLD está activada, deslice el

interruptor HOLD en la dirección contraria
a la flecha para desbloquear los controles.
Asegúrese de que la cinta esté parada
completamente.

2 Pulse TV, FM o AM para seleccionar la

banda que desee.

3 Pulse TUNING+/– para sintonizar la

emisora deseada.
Si mantiene presionada TUNING+/–
durante algunos segundos, el Walkman
comenzará a sintonizar automáticamente
emisoras.

Para desconectar la radio
Pulse OFF.

Para mejorar la recepción de la emisión

• Para TV/FM: Extienda el cable (antena) de los

auriculares, o ajuste DX•LOCAL.

• Para AM: Oriente la propia unidad.

Es posible almacenar emisoras de radio en la
memoria de la unidad. Puede memorizar hasta 35
emisoras (7 para TV, 21 para FM y 7 para AM).
Primero memorice las emisoras recibidas con la
exploración automática. A continuación, sintonice
las emisoras que no se reciban automáticamente y
memorícelas de forma manual.

1 Pulse TV, FM o AM para activar la radio y

seleccione la banda que desee.

2 Pulse ENTER durante más de 3 segundos.

El número de memorización 1 parpadeará
en el visor y el Walkman comenzará a
explorar las emisoras desde las frecuencias
más bajas, parando unos 3 segundos al
recibir una emisora.

3 Si desea memorizar la emisora recibida,

pulse ENTER mientras parpadea el número
de memorización.
La emisora recibida se memorizará con el
número de memorización 1 y la unidad
comenzará a buscar la siguiente emisora.

4 Repita el paso 3 hasta que se memoricen

todas las emisoras que puedan recibirse.

Pulse OFF. La radio se desactivará al mismo tiempo.

Nota
• Si ya hay emisoras almacenadas, las emisoras recién

memorizadas sustituirán a las anteriores al realizar el
procedimiento anterior.

1 Pulse TV, FM o AM para activar la radio y

seleccione la banda que desee.

2 Pulse ENTER.

Parpadearán en el visor los dígitos de
frecuencia y un número de memorización.

3 Mientras parpadean los dígitos de

frecuencia y el número de memorización,
sintonice una emisora que desee almacenar
con TUNING+/– y seleccione un número
de memorización con PRESET+/–.

4 Mientras parpadean los dígitos de

frecuencia y el número de memorización,
pulse ENTER.

Notas
• Si no puede completar los pasos 3 o 4 mientras las

indicaciones estén parpadeando, repita la operación
desde el paso 2.

• Si la emisora ya está almacenada, la nueva

reemplazará a la antigua.

1 Pulse TV, FM o AM para activar la radio y

seleccione la banda que desee.

2 Pulse PRESET+/– .

Para bloquear los controles, ajuste el interruptor
HOLD en la dirección de la marca G.
La función HOLD sólo bloquea los botones de
empleo de la radio y MEGA BASS.

Pulse MEGA BASS.
El visor mostrará “MEGA BASS”.

Notas
• Si el sonido se distorsiona con MEGA BASS activado,

disminuya el volumen de la unidad principal o
seleccione el modo normal.

• La acentuación de los graves puede no tener mucho

efecto si el volumen está ajustado a un nivel
demasiado alto.

Ajuste AVLS (Sistema de limitación automática del
volumen) en LIMIT. El volumen máximo se
mantendrá a un nivel determinado con el fin de
proteger sus oídos, aunque aumente el volumen.
