Advanced setup

This unit has additional menus that are displayed in the 
front panel display. The advanced setup menu offers 
additional operations to adjust and customize the way this 
unit operates. Change the initial settings (indicated in bold 
under each parameter) to reflect the needs of your 
listening environment.
• Only 
ASTANDBY/ON, LPROGRAM l / h, and
 
MSTRAIGHT are effective while you are using the advanced 
setup menu.
• No other operations can be made while you are using the 
advanced setup menu.
• The advanced setup menu is only available in the front panel 
display.

Press A
STANDBY/ON to set this unit to the 
standby mode.

Press and hold K
TONE CONTROL and 
then press A
STANDBY/ON to turn on this 
unit.
This unit turns on, and the advanced setup menu 
appears in the front panel display.

Press L
PROGRAM l / h to select the 
parameter you want to adjust.
The name of the selected parameter appears in the 
front panel display.

Press M
STRAIGHT repeatedly to change 
the selected parameter setting.

Press A
STANDBY/ON to confirm your 
selection and set this unit to the standby 
mode.

The settings you made are reflected next time you turn on this 
unit.
■ Speaker impedance
  SP IMP.
(U.S.A. and Canada models only)
Use this feature to set the speaker impedance of this unit 
so that it matches that of your speakers.
Choices: 8
Ω MIN, 6Ω MIN
• Select “8
Ω MIN” to set the speaker impedance to 8 Ω.
• Select “6
Ω MIN” to set the speaker impedance to 6 Ω.
■ SIRIUS Satellite Radio Parental Lock 
code number reset
SSR PIN
Use this feature to set the code number for the SIRIUS 
Satellite Radio Parental Lock feature to the initial factory 
setting.
Choices: RESET, CANCEL
• Select “RESET” to set the code number to the initial 
factory setting.
• Select “CANCEL” to set the code number to the initial 
factory setting.
Even if you set “SSR PIN” to “RESET”, this unit does not unlock 
the locked channels. The initial factory setting of the Parental 
Lock code number is “0000”.
