Labeling the preset
stations

Turn REC LEVEL to adjust the
recording level.
See “Recording on a tape manually” on
page 52.

Turn MIC LEVEL to adjust the
microphone volume.

Select the track you want on the CD
and set the CD player to pause.

Press r REC on the tape deck.
The tape deck stands by for recording.

Press P or · on the tape deck.
Recording starts.

Press · ∏ on the CD player.
CD playback starts.  Start singing along
with the music.
To stop recording
Press p on the tape deck and the CD player.
When you are done
Disconnect the microphone from MIX MIC
and press KARAOKE PON to turn off the
indicator.
Tips
• If you want to record your voice only through the
microphone, you can do so by selecting the CD
with the FUNCTION control and not playing a
CD.
• When you connect the microphone, the MD deck
performs analog recording (for DHC-MD77/
EX77MD/EX770MD).
You can put a name of up to eight characters
(Station Name) to a preset station.  The
Station Name appears when you tune in the
station.

Press TUNER/BAND repeatedly
until the band you want appears.
European model:
FM n MW n LW*
Other models:
FM n AM
* You cannot assign a name to an LW station.

For European model:
Press TUNING MODE repeatedly
until “PRESET” appears.
For other models:
Press PRESET.

Turn MULTI CONTROLLER until
the preset number of the station you
want to label appears.
