Range approximately 10 m (with no obstructions).  However, the distance may become shorter if direct sunlight, 

light from a fluorescent lamp or light from a plasma display falls on the AW-HE100 main unit's IR receptor.

A full-featured wireless remote for 
control of up to four cameras is included 
as a standard accessory. The AW-HE100 
is also compatible with current 
Panasonic RS-422 wired remote control 
systems for easy operation and 
adjustment.
