The PRIMERGY RX330 is available with 
a new, embedded virtualization solution, 
VMware

®

 ESXi 3.5. This new and exciting 

virtualization technology is being launched  
by Fujitsu in partnership with VMware.
VMWare ESXi 3.5 is the industry’s first 
hardware-integrated hypervisor built on a 
next-generation thin architecture, giving 
your organization an efficient foundation for 
building a dynamic, automated data center. 
The slim 32 MB footprint of ESXi 3.5 results 
in a smaller attack surface while minimizing 
the effort required for tasks such as security 
hardening. Integrating the ESXi 3.5 Embedded 
server with the solid-state components of the 
PRIMERGY RX330 enables diskless server 
configurations, reducing hardware failure rates 
and decreasing server power consumption. 

The PRIMERGY RX330 with VMware ESXi 
3.5 embedded is ready to run virtual machines 
right out of the box and will speed your  
deployment of virtualization!

The PRIMERGY RX330 server combines 
advanced processor and storage technology to 
easily power demanding ERP and e-commerce 
applications. AMD Opteron series processors 
and the HyperTransport™ bus used to connect 
processor and memory form the core of this 
server’s balanced, high performance architecture.  
The DDR2-RAM used in this server has  
excellent power efficiency which helps lower 
power consumption for large memory configu-
rations. This is especially important as server 
memory increases to support virtualization.  
A SAS RAID solution is integrated and 
includes support for an enhanced mirroring 
mode that delivers flexible data protection. 
The PRIMERGY RX330 packs all of this 
power into a slim 2U chassis. Advanced cool-
ing design optimizes airflow to keep critical 

components cool, increasing reliability and 
performance. The PRIMERGY RX330 server’s 
remote management features, reliability, 
power efficiency and expandability will make 
it a welcome addition to any data center.

For a quick ramp up of your new server, the 
ServerStart Suite of tools from Fujitsu allows  
you to install and configure an OS load 
quickly and easily. Once the server is up, our 
ServerView software agents deliver fail-safe 
operation by providing inband management, 
monitoring, and control of PRIMERGY 
RX330 hardware. A powerful integrated 
Remote Management Controller chip with a 
dedicated Ethernet port is integrated into the 
PRIMERGY RX330 server and provides  
complete out-of-band monitoring, test,  
diagnosis, and alarm management. With 
PRIMERGY remote management solutions, 
you are always in control of your servers.
