Getting started
Before you play

Plug the power cord into an outlet.

Affix the music stand as shown.

Open the control panel unit.
• Be careful not to pinch your fingers.

Press the POWER button to turn it on.
• Headphones may be plugged into
the PHONES terminal. This will
automatically switch off the speaker
system, and sound is heard only
through the headphones.
Precaution for carrying the instrument
When carrying this instrument, close the
control panel unit and hold the bottom sides
of both extremities of the instrument.
• Never carry it holding the control panel, as
doing so may result in malfunction.
• The pitch of this instrument can be adjusted
for when playing with other instruments.

• For information on this instrument’s backup
function, refer to page 198.
• Under certain conditions, the functions and
memories of this instrument may be
initialized when the power is turned on.
