but the 2488MKII cannot detect a valid digital 
audio input.

tion. If the connection is good, it is possible 
that the signal is the wrong type. The 2488MKII 
expects a signal in S/PDIF (IEC60958 
Consumer use) format at 44.1 kHz. It cannot 
accept compressed audio formats, etc.

Can’t duplicate 
to the same 
track as the

When editing tracks, you have selected the 
same track as both source and destination for a 
duplicate operation.
Press NO/EXIT and select a different source or 
destination track as appropriate.

The selected WAV or Standard MIDI File cannot 
be imported into the current song as there is not 
enough disk space on the current partition.
Press NO/EXIT and delete a song (SONG 
-> DELETE) to free up space on the partition 
(note that this cannot be undone).

The data selected for export to the FAT partition 
is too big (there is not sufficient space on the 
FAT partition).
Press NO/EXIT, use the USB OPEN function 
to manage the files (move or delete unwanted 
ones) on the FAT partition from a computer 
and retry. Alternatively, if there is no wanted 
data on the FAT partition, use the 2488MKII to 
reformat the FAT partition (all data on the FAT 
partition is irrecoverably lost). The maximum 
file size is 4 GB.
The following is a list of warning messages that may 
be displayed by the 2488MKII, together with a note of 
their possible cause, and the actions you can take when 
they occur.
In the messages, keys to be pressed are enclosed in brack-
ets ([
YES/ENTER
