instruction handlebar bracket
Street Pilot 2610
Januar 2004
Diese Anleitung ist nach unserem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand verfasst. Rechtliche Ansprüche auf Richtigkeit bestehen nicht. Technische Änderungen vorbehalten.
Install the handlebar mount on the (12 mm)
crossbar. You will need an 8mm wrench. To
protect the mount from crash damage,
tighten the nuts just enough that you can still
rotate the mount with some effort.
For the assembly of your handlebar mount on
motorcycles without a crossbar there are
many adapotors (e.g. a ball joint adapter unit)
Please check with your TOURATECH dealer for
details.
To get your GPS 2610 in the bracket, you´ll
have to tilt the adjustable mount at the back
completly backwards (pic. 1).
Then open the locking lever, by pulling it on
the back and pushing it in the front, as shown
on pic. 2. Now you can move your GPS 2610
into the bracket so that round (toothed) disk at
the bottom fits into the clearance. Close the
looking lever so that it noticeable snaps in.
Lookable brackets can get looked now. Other
versions need to get secured by tighten the
enclosed screw. (pic. 4)
Lookable version (pic. 3):
On the right side you can find a special
mount for your power cable. To remove the
power cable from that holder please lift it
slightly on the right side.
Don´t use this handlebar
bracket with an StreetPilot
2620! You´ll get problems
with the micro drive of this
GPS unit! The Street Pilot
2620 is not made for the
application on motobikes.
Problems with those GPS-
units are not because of
our handlebar bracket, but
because of the micro drive.
So it´s not a reason for
complaints!
All versions:
At the back you´ll find a plastic pen to
handle the touchscreen with gloves.
Attention: Always take a look, that
your GPS unit is attached securely to
your bracket!
TOURATECH does not take any
responsibility for damaged or lost GPS
units.
