Setting up PostScript and/or PCL printing with
Windows NT 4.0 and/or Windows 2000
To set up the GA-1040 as a PostScript or PCL printer, you must install the PostScript
or PCL Printer Driver for Windows NT 4.0 and/or Windows 2000 and its
corresponding printer description files. You can also install the Agfa Monotype Font
Manager. Afterwards, you configure a particular type of print connection between the
workstation and the GA-1040.
The following procedure describes using the User Software CD to install the GA-1040
as a local (LPT1) printer. Adding a printer to a local system requires that you log in to
your local Windows NT 4.0 and/or Windows 2000 workstation (not the network
server domain) and that you are a member of the Administrators group. The
procedures after that describe completing the print connection for a network printer.
