Introduction

  To achieve USB 2.0 

speeds, your drive must be connected to a USB 

2.0 host port. If it is connected to a USB 2.0 port, 

your drive will operate at USB 2.0 speeds. 

*Most computers do not come from the factory with 

FireWire 800 ports, so you may need to purchase a PCI, 

PCI-X or PCI-Express card to be able to connect your 

LaCie 2big via FireWire 800 interface. LaCie offers a 

wide selection of PCI cards. Visit the LaCie website at
