 Communication Procedure 

Communications start when the master CPU transmits address data. Address data refers to data with the D8 

bit set to "1" and is used to select a slave CPU as the communication destination. Slave CPUs interpret 

address data via a program and the one with a matching address performs communications (normal data) 

with the master CPU. Figure 5-23 shows a flowchart of master-slave communications (multi-processor 

mode).
