Setting PDL Emulations 
To set the PDL (Page Description Language) Emulations, used by the Device's Input Ports, perform the 
following steps:
1.
Open your Web browser and enter the TCP/IP address of the Device in the Address or Location field.  
Press Enter.
2.
Click the Properties tab.
3.
Click the folder in the directory tree labeled Services.
4.
Click the folder labeled Printing.
5.
Click on the folder labeled Language Emulations to see the Page Description Languages currently 
supported by system software.
6.
Click on the Print Mode hot link to access a list of the Device's Input Ports, displaying the Page 
Description Language emulations they are currently set to use.
7.
Depending upon the Ports enabled at the Device, the list of displayed Ports includes: Parallel, 
AppleTalk (with PostScript), SMB, LPD, IPP, WSD, and Port 9100.  Typical Page Description 
selections for each Port include: Auto (auto select), PostScript, HP-GL/2, PCL and TIFF/JPEG.
8.
Make your required setting changes, and click the rectangular Apply button to have the device register 
the changes.  To return settings to their previous values, without making changes, click the Undo 
button.
