Prerequisites

Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 16.

Remove the video-card fan. See "Removing the Video-card Fan" on page 36.
Procedure

In sequential order (indicated on the heat sink), loosen the captive screws that
secure the heat sink to the system board.

Tilt and lift the heat sink off the system board.
