Then follow the following steps to update the device driver:

Deinstall the software for the Gigaset USB Adapter 54 as described in Chapter 
"Deinstalling the Gigaset USB Adapter 54" on page 33.

After restarting your PC, open the directory where you downloaded the new drivers 
to.

Start the update and follow the instructions given.
