Chapter 7 WAN

This screen depends on the Encapsulation your ISP uses.

Use this screen to set up an Ethernet connection to the Internet. To open this screen, click 
Network > WAN > Internet Connection, and set the Encapsulation to Ethernet.

Select Ethernet.

WAN IP Address 

Assignment

Get automatically 

from ISP

Select this if your ISP did not give you a fixed (static) IP address. Do not enter 

anything in the IP Address, IP Subnet Mask or Gateway IP Address fields.

Use Fixed IP 

Address

Select this if your ISP gave you a fixed (static) IP address.

IP Address

Enter the fixed (static) IP address provided by your ISP.

IP Subnet Mask

Enter the subnet mask provided by your ISP.

Gateway IP Address Enter the IP address of the gateway provided by your ISP.

WAN MAC Address
