The Prestige 100L is the perfect companion to the Prestige 1600, offering inexpensive yet complete
telecommunications and internetworking solutions for your home or branch office. The Prestige is ideal for
everything from Internet access, to making LAN-to-LAN connections, to Remote Nodes. Distinguishing
features include:
Support for a full range of networking protocols such as TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet
Protocol),
Simple Network Management,
Solid security features that give it the flexibility to provide a complete networking solution for Internet
access and business users.
Ease of Installation
The Prestige is a self-contained unit that is quick and easy to install.
Additional Installation Requirements
Your Prestige 100L is easy to install and to configure. In addition, there are other hardware and software
requirements you need before you can install and use your Prestige. These requirements include:
IDSL service provided by local telephone company.
An Ethernet connection to your computer.
A computer equipped with communications software configured to the following parameters:
VT100 terminal emulation.
9600 Baud rate (or 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200).
No parity, 8 Data bits, 1 Stop bit and no flow control.
After the Prestige has been successfully connected to your network, you can make future changes to the
configuration by using the console port or telnet.
