streaming applications. 

With ZyXEL’s exclusive Media Bandwidth Management v2 (MBM v2™), the NBG334S 

provides the most comprehensive way to smartly manage your limited bandwidth for 

multimedia applications. The MBM v2™ enables you to enjoy the fluent and excellent 

performance of bandwidth-sensitive network applications such as VoIP, online gaming, 

video streaming or P2P sharing.

This fully equipped, broadband-capable device is a true firewall with the utmost in 

business class security Denial of Service (DoS) protection and Intrusion Detection using 

Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), URL access and content filtering, logging, reporting, 

real-time alerts; in addition to VPN pass-through that maximizes network security.

With Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM), base on a subnet of the IEEE 802.11e WLAN QoS draft 

standard, the NBG334S improves the user experience for audio, video, and voice 

application over wireless network. Multimedia applications are highly sensitive to 

latency and throughput reductions and require QoS. WMM defines four access 

categories (voice, video, best effort, and background) that are used to prioritize traffic 

to provide enhanced multimedia support.
