Chapter 33 Maintenance Screens

ZyWALL 5/35/70 Series User’s Guide

When the ZyWALL uses the NTP time server pools, it randomly selects one pool and tries to 
synchronize with a server in it. If the synchronization fails, then the ZyWALL goes through 
the rest of the list in order from the first one tried until either it is successful or all the pre-
defined NTP time server pools have been tried.

The ZyWALL resets the time in the following instances:

• When you click 

.

• On saving your changes. 

• When the ZyWALL starts up.

• 24-hour intervals after starting.

To change your ZyWALL’s time and date, click MAINTENANCE > Time and Date. The 
screen appears as shown. Use this screen to configure the ZyWALL’s time based on your local 
time zone.
