3.3.3.2  WEP
WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encrypts data frames before transmitting over the 
wireless network. Select 64-bit128-bit or 256-bit from the WEP Encryption drop-
down list box and then follow the on-screen instructions to set up the WEP keys. 
Choose an encryption level from the drop-down list. The higher the WEP encryption, the 
higher the security but the slower the throughput.
You can generate or manually enter a WEP key by either
• Entering a Passphrase (up to 32 printable characters) and clicking Generate. The G-560 
automatically generates a WEP key.  
or
• Selecting ASCII or Hex WEP key input method and entering a manual key in the Key 1 
field.
