Clearing Paper Jams
Chapter 5: Clearing Jams and Jam Recovery

Tray 2 Jam with
500-sheet Paper Deck
and Cassette
Follow the procedure below to clear a paper jam from
Tray 2 when Tray 2 is a 500-sheet Paper Deck and
Cassette and the Control Panel displays the message:

Tray 2 Jam-
Open Tray 2

Remove Tray 2 (1).

Remove the Envelope Feeder if installed.

Open the front cover (2).

Remove the EP Cartridge.

Remove the jammed sheet of paper.

Replace the EP Cartridge.

Replace Tray 2.

Close the front cover.
9
Replace the Envelope Feeder if necessary.
