Clearing Paper Jams
Chapter 5: Clearing Jams and Jam Recovery

Paper Exit Jam
Follow the procedure below to clear a paper jam inside
the rear cover when the Control Panel displays the
message:

Open Rear Cover

Open the rear cover (1).

Remove the jammed paper.

If you do not see the jammed paper, remove the Duplex
Module, remove the jammed paper, then replace the
Duplex Module.

Close the rear cover.
On rare occasions, paper may jam in the fuser. To
clear a fuser jam, refer to the section “Fuser Jam”
(page 5-19).
