regulation ensures consistent input voltage
to your critical load.  If the input voltage is
too high, the Powerware 5105 bucks the
voltage instantaneously (demonstrated in
the LanSafe III and FailSafe III PowerScope
view below) or boosts the voltage if it is
too low.
