Basic Operation
Remove the lens cover before turning on the projector. 
Connect the power plug to the outlet.

Press the [ON] side of the <MAIN

POWER> switch to turn on the power.
Soon, the <Power indicator> lights red or blinks 
and the projector enters standby mode.
Press the Power (

soon the image is projected on the screen.

In the [SECURITY] menu, check that [CONTROL

PANEL] (when operating from the projector) or [REMOTE

[CONTROL DEVICE SETUP] is set to [ENABLE].

The lamp makes a low frizzling sound when lit which is

normal and not a malfunction. 
During video projection, the cooling fan turns making a 
 
z
sound. Fan sound may change with ambient temperature 
and becomes louder when the lamp is lit. 
When the lamp is turned off and immediately turned back 
 
z
on again, the video may temporarily flicker slightly at the 
start of projection due to lamp characteristics but this is 
not a malfunction. 
When [ECO] is selected in [STANDBY MODE] (
 
z

59) in [ECO MANAGEMENT] under the “PROJECTOR 
SETUP menu”, the initial image may appear about 10 
seconds later than when set to [NORMAL]. 
If the direct power function was used to set the MAIN 
 
z
POWER switch to [OFF] during projection and [LAST 
MEMORY] had been selected under [INITIAL START UP] 
in the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu, the next time the 
<MAIN POWER> switch is set to [ON] when the power 
plug is connected to an AC outlet, the <Power indicator> 
will soon light green and an image will be projected. 
Making adjustment and 
selection
It is recommended that the images are projected 
continuously for at least 30 minutes before the focus 
is adjusted.

Powering up the projector
