<LAMP> and <TEMP> indicators
Managing the indicated problems
If a problem should occur inside the projector, the lamp indicator <LAMP> and the temperature indicator <TEMP>
will inform you.
Manage the indicated problems as follows.

When switching off the power to deal with problems, make sure to follow the procedure in “Switching off the
projector” (
page 38).

Check the status of the power supply with the power indicator <ON (G)/STANDBY (R)>. (

■Lamp indicator <LAMP>
Indicator
status
Illuminating red
Flashing red
Problem
Time to replace the lamp unit.

Lamp circuit failure, abnormal function, or lamp unit is
damaged.
Cause
z
Is [REPLACE LAMP] displayed when
you turned on the power?
z
The indicator illuminates when the
lamp usage time (converted value)

reaches 2 800 hours.
z
Have you turned
on the power again
immediately after
turning it off?
z
Lamp circuit failure,
abnormal function, or lamp
unit is damaged.
Solution
z
Replace the lamp unit.
z
Wait a while until
the luminous lamp
cools off and turn
off the main power,
and then turn on the
power again.
z
Turn the <MAIN POWER>
switch to <OFF>
(
page 38), and consult
your dealer.

If the lamp indicator <LAMP> is still illuminating or flashing after taking the preceding measures, ask your
dealer to repair the unit.
