Cisco Nexus 5500 Platform Switches

Power Supply

The Cisco Nexus 5596UP uses a front-end power supply. The chassis has slots for two power supplies.
The Cisco Nexus 5596UP switch is fully functional with one power supply, but you can include a second
power supply for power redundancy.

Table 1-1

lists the power supplies that you can order with the Cisco Nexus 5500 Platform switches.

Note

Front to Back (FAF) Airflow and DC Power Supply is now supported for the Cisco Nexus 5596T. For
details see the

Cisco Nexus 5500 Datasheet.
