Device Setup Requirements
The following components are required for the purpose of this example:

PowerConnect 6024/6024F switch
•
A workstation with the following components installed:

–
Network adapter card
–
ASCII terminal application (for example, Microsoft
®
Windows
®
HyperTerminal or
Procomm Plus Terminal)
–
A browser application
•
One Null Modem F2F cable.
•
Straight or cross UTP (category 5) cable(s)
Initial Connection

Using the RS-232 port, connect the switch to the workstation.

Set the ASCII terminal with the following settings and select the appropriate COM port.
