Front Panel
Figure 1-1 shows the front panel of the Enterasys Networks Vertical
Horizon VH-8TX1UM/VH-8TX1MF. Table 1-1 defines the VH-8TX1UM/

On indicates power is supplied to the switch. Off

Link LED’s
Green indicates that there is a 100 Mbps link, and the
port is enabled. Flashing green indicates that there is a
100 Mbps link, and port activity. Amber indicates that
there is a 10 Mbps link, and the port is enabled.

FDX LED’s
Green indicates that the switch is operating in full-

TX/FX Button
When using Port 8, use this toggle switch to select the
RJ-45 connector or fiber connector. Note that every
time you change the Port 8 connector, you must also
reset the switch.
