Replacing the CNTL 4000 Module
The CPU module is the management system of the RMX 4000. Use the 
following procedure to replace a CNTL 4000 Module:

Ensure that the power switch/circuit switch on the RMX 4000 is 
turned OFF (O).

Unscrew the captive screws on the front panel of the 
CNTL
 4000 
Module that secure the 
m
odule to the chassis.

Use the metal ejector lever to pull the 
CNTL
 4000 Module out of its 
slot in the Backplane.

Carefully slide the 
CNTL
 4000 Module out through the front panel.

On the 
CNTL
 4000 Module to be installed, move the ejector lever to 
the fully open position.

Slide in the replacement 
CNTL
 4000 Module.

Push the 
CNTL
 4000 Module firmly into the Backplane, making sure 
it is properly seated in its slot.

Ensure that the metal ejector lever is fully retracted into it’s housing.

Tighten the captive screws on the front panel of the 
CNTL 4000
 
Module that secure the 
CNTL
 4000 Module to the chassis.
10 Turn ON the RMX 4000.
