Connect the digital scanner directly to the host interface.

Attach the modular connector of the IBM 46XX interface cable to the cable interface port on the digital scanner.

Interface cables vary depending on configuration. The connectors illustrated in

scanner are the same.

The only required configuration is the port address. The IBM system typically controls other digital scanner 
parameters.
