IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons,
including the following:
 Read 
 instructions and information in this
instruction book and any other literature included
in this carton referring to this product before
operating or using this appliance.
 Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
 To protect against electric shock, do not immerse
cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children.
 Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking
off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
 Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to
an authorized service facility for examination,
repair or adjustment.
 Check that your appliances’ voltage matches your
electrical supply.
 Always lift the glass carafe by the handle only,
never by the anti-drip ring.
 The glass carafe is not suitable for use in
microwave ovens, above open fire or gas flame, or
on electric burners.
 Do not refill the appliance while it is still hot; allow
appliance to cool down for at least ten minutes
between uses.
 Do not pour hot water or other liquids into the
water reservoir.
 Do not allow the cord to touch any hot part of the
appliance.
