You can enjoy karaoke by singing along with the 
selected input. Before operation, make sure you 
have set the receiver to karaoke function.

The karaoke function cannot be used when you select 
Tuner FM/AM.

The KARAOKE ON/OFF indicator lights 
up and the karaoke function is activated.

You can also use the KARAOKE menu to 
activate the karaoke function (page 25).

You need to connect 2 microphones if you want 
to sing duet.

For details, see “Adjusting the music” on 
page 24.

You can adjust microphone tone level in 3 
bands 

–

 Low, Medium and High.

To cancel the echo effect, turn ECHO to 
MIN.

The same echo level is applied to both MIC 1 and 
MIC 2.

The karaoke function will be canceled when you 
do the following.
• Press KARAOKE ON/OFF repeatedly to 

select “KARA OFF” (the indicator turns off).

• Set “KARA XXX” in the KARAOKE menu 

to “KARA OFF”.

• Select another input.
• Turn the power off.

• You can use the MUSIC VOLUME knob and 

microphone only when the karaoke function is 
activated. 

• If acoustic feedback (howling) occurs, move the 

microphone away from the speakers or change the 
direction of the microphone.

You can adjust the music volume level and 
music tone of the selected input.

x MUSICXXX dB (Music volume level)

Lets you adjust the music volume level relative to the 
microphone volume level. If the music volume level is 
higher compared to the microphone volume level, you 
can

– turn the MUSIC VOLUME counterclockwise to 

reduce the music volume level, or

– turn the MIC 1 VOL or MIC 2 VOL clockwise to 

increase the microphone volume level.

Initial setting: 0 dB

You can adjust the music volume level from –10 dB to 
+10 dB in 1 dB steps.
