Desktop offers two ways to move your data to an external SATA hard drive.  

Using the emerging standard of eSATA, you'll enjoy lighting fast data transfer 

rates of up to 300MBs.  But you will not be limited, because the USB 2.0 connection 

offers a data transfer rates of up to 480Mbs and compatibility with any PC or  Mac 

with a USB 2.0 port.

Backing up your invaluable data has never been easier.  Aegis Desktop robust design 

features a solid aluminum enclosure, great for heat dissipation. This is combined with a 

whisper quiet ultra-cool fan which keeps the enclosure at optimal temperatures, extending 

the life of your hard drive and data. The Aegis Desktop’s versatile, stackable design and 

convenient hideaway feet which swivel away when not in use, enables the drive to be used 

in both vertical or horizontal configurations. With storage capacities up to 1.5 Terabyte* you'll 

have plenty of space to not only back up your entire system, but for additional storage of all 

of your digital photographs, e-mail, music and video files.

The kit comes with an extensive software bundle.  Apricorn's Data Protection Software Suite for 

PC and Mac provides Backup & Disaster Recovery, File Synchronization and hard drive monitoring, 

all on one CD.

Apricorn’s comprehensive Backup software includes Apricorn’s EZ Gig II for Windows and 

ShirtPocket SuperDuper! for Mac. These powerful cloning and backup tools  enable you to back up 

your entire system in one simple step.  Perfect for real-time disaster recovery 

in the event of a hard 

drive failure, Apricorn’s backup software suite also enables you to compress your backups into a 

single file up to half its original size, restore individual files and password protect your backups.

Apricorn’s Synchronizing software provides a variety of options to synchronize your system for file sharing 

and backup between multiple computers. This ensures that your data is always  up-to-date between 

your systems, maintaining data integrity.

SMART-ER (SMART-Error Reporting) is a utility that monitors the health of your hard drive and can provide 

timely information that may help you avoid losing your valuable data due to drive failure. The Apricorn 

SMART-ER utility periodically monitors the health status of a systems internal hard drive.
