5 Configure keepalive timeout interval for targeted LDP sessions using the 

 command. For example:

-> configure router ldp targeted-session keepalive 40 2

The graceful restart mechanism is always enabled for the switch. The following steps provide a quick tuto-
rial for configuring the graceful restart helper status and timers:

1 Enable the Graceful Restart Helper for the switch using the 

 command. For example:

-> configure router ldp graceful-restart-helper 

2 Configure the reconnect time advertised to neighboring LDP routers using the 

 command. For example:

-> configure router ldp reconnect-time 300

3 Configure the MPLS forwarding state hold time using the 

 command. For example:

-> configure router ldp fwd-state-holding-time 300

4 Configure the amount of time stale label-FEC bindings are retained using the 

 command. For example:

-> configure router ldp maximum-recovery-time 300

5 Configure the amount of time to wait for a neighbor to re-establish an LDP session using the 

 command. For example:

-> configure router ldp neighbor-liveness-time 300
