To enable the DDM capability on the switch use the 

 command. For example, 

enter:

-> interfaces transceiver ddm enable

Traps can be enabled if any of these above values crosses the pre-defined low or high thresholds of the 
transceiver. For example, to set the maximum frame size on port 3 on slot 2 to 9216 bytes, enter:

-> interfaces transceiver ddm trap enable

Note: In order to take advantage of the DDM capability, the transceiver must support the DDM function-
ality. Not all transceivers support DDM, refer to the Transceivers Guide for additional DDM information.
