Global Configuration mode

The system internally keeps time in UTC, so this command is used only for 
display purposes and when the time is manually set. 

The following example sets the timezone to 6 hours difference from UTC.

The 

 Global Configuration mode command configures the 

system to automatically switch to summer time (daylight saving time). To configure 
the software not to automatically switch to summer time, use the 

 form of this 

command.

 — Indicates that summer time should start and end on the 

corresponding specified days every year. 

•

 — Indicates that summer time should start on the first specific date 

listed in the command and end on the second specific date in the command.

•

 — The summer time rules are the United States rules.

•

 — The summer time rules are the European Union rules.

• week — Week of the month. (Range: 1 - 5,

• day — Day of the week (Range: first three letters by name, like 

)

• date — Date of the month. (Range:1 - 31)
