8.3.1.2 Displaying Sunrise and Sunset Information 
With the Airport selected on the Database page, press ‘NEAR’ to display the Sun/Moon informa-
tion for the airport. If a GPS fix is present, the information will automatically display. If no GPS
fix is present, or you would like to see the information for another day, press ‘ENTER’ to activate
the SUN/MOON INFO box and select the date.
NOTE - SEARCHING THE AIRPORT DATABASE
When searching by city for air-
ports located within the same city, the double sided arrow key will scroll through each airport within the city. When
displaying Airport data, press the left/right cursor keys for additional details on the airport frequencies and runway
data. Remember to key in the ICAO prefix (“K” for the United States) at the beginning of airport identifiers,
where applicable (see Appendix 4 for details).
8.4 USER C-CARD
This feature Is not available in Version 1.32 software and earlier 
The EKP-III allows you to download (copy) information to an optional User C-CARD; there-
by allowing you to store additional data externally and reload that information at a later time.
This User C-CARD also allows you to share data with other compatible chart plotters.
The User C-CARD is different than the C-CARD containing map detail. Be sure the
C-CARD you are using to store data is labeled as “User”. If you do not already have a User C-
CARD contact your C-MAP dealer.
New User C-CARDs must be formatted before use (see following Par. 8.4.1): this
operation initializes the User C-CARD and prepares it for storing information.
WARNING!!! 
A User C-CARD containing data may be reformatted, this operation destroys any data already
on the User C-CARD
.
To perform the following functions, begin by inserting the User C-CARD into either
of the C-CARD slots of the EKP-III (see Par. 2.6 for correct insertion). Then:
>‘MENU’ 1 sec  + “DATABASE” + ‘ENTER’ + “USER C-CARD” + ‘ENTER’
After pressing ‘ENTER’ the User C-CARD directory page appears. Use 
‘ZOOM
IN’/’ZOOM OUT’ to select the function desired.
8.4.1 FORMATTING A USER CARD
The formatting function must be done before using a new User C-CARD: this operation pre-
pares the User C-CARD to receive and store information. Before you start the formatting pro-
cedure, insert a new User C-CARD (see Par. 2.6):
